Sleepy Cal

We had a big day yesterday. We went to our friends house to play cards and hang out...Cal was awesome. He loved everyone holding him (thanks Kristen, Mo, and Jen) and he enjoyed watching everyone and looking around at the new scenary. He is pretty tired today considering he missed his bedtime by about 3 1/2 hours! Cal and I just got back from church (Daddy and Uncle Scott are in a big poker tourney...grand prize $7500.00 trip to somewhere, I forget...Good luck guys!)and Cal is pooped. He fell asleep in his car seat on the way home and has been sleeping about 1 hour, and he is snoring!!! I guess we will just be resting today!

No news here...I feel like I am getting the flu, but Cal is doing great. He is being extra good today.(He must know I don't feel well)

Who's That?

I was looking through our Cal pictures and could not believe how much he has changed in three months. Look how tiny he was...he was only a little over 6 pounds in this pic. Oh, he is growing up so fast.

Who wouldn't be happy after 12 1/2 hours of sleep! We have set another record. He is really making this easy on us, he must know it is our first time at this parenting thing.

Poor Cal...

Yesterday Cal woke up with hives or some kind of bites all over his head and chest. We called the doc and they said just watch them and if they get worse we can give him some benedryl. Well today he still has a couple, but we are not sure what they are. He even has a new one on his chest and leg. We will see how he does today, but it has not affected his mood. He is still laughing, smiling, and talking.

Teething...

I can't believe the day is already here...Cal has started teething. Here he is sucking on Craig's thumb. He seems to like it a lot better than his teething toys. I guess I am going to have to get some baby orajel and keep his teething toys in the fridge.

It is so sad to see him in pain and crying, especially since he had never cried like this before.

If anyone has any helpful teething hints I would love to hear them.

Cal now loves to fall asleep by cuddling up to a blankie. It is so cute he rubs his eyes and his face with a blanket and then falls asleep holding it.

He also loves to watch his mobiles and talk to the different characters. He is so social!

Cal's neck is getting stronger and stronger everyday. He doesn't like to lay on his tummy very much, but he does it a little bit each day to build his muscles. Thanks Aunt Romey, Uncle Jamie, and cousin Emma for the choo choo train. He loves to watch it roll by him.

We are also practicing sitting up (with support)...he is getting so old so fast it is absolutely amazing!

10 Hours Again!!!

Cal slept 10 hours in a row and then another 2 after he ate. Saturday night he slept 10 1/2 hours, woke up and ate, then slept another 2 1/2 hours. I guess he is having a growth spurt!

He woke up very happy this morning after all that sleep.

Booktime!

Cal loves his daddy to read him books...especially Touch and Feel Dinosaur, where he gets to feel all different types of textures!

We had another great weekend...too bad they go by so fast! We went to our friends Jimbo and Emily's house to watch the Lions/Packers game. Sorry for the loss Jimbo, but great food!

Here is Uncle Bert, Craig, Cal, and I watching the Lions. He was so good and just hung out with us all day! He's awesome.

Holiday Weekend

We had a great Labor Day Weekend just hanging around the house and relaxing. Here are some pics of Cal having a good time hanging out with us.

He has moved up to 3-6 month outfits. Here he is modeling his pirate ensemble from Aunt Mandy.

Let's Go State!!!

Cal watched his first Michigan State game...he must have been good luck because they crushed Kent State. This was his first of many football games to come.

Hopefully by the end of the season he will fit into his gear a little better!

Mommy's Big Night Out

Thursday Craig watched Cal for the night and Uncle Scott and I went to Buckhead to play poker. I came in 5th place and Scott came in 4th. It was my first night out alone and it was fun. Cal and daddy had a good time and Cal slept 81/2 hours that night!

Cal now loves to chew on his teething blanket...I hope he is not getting teeth already!

He's Getting So Big!

Cal has slept a lot today eventhough he slept 11 hours last night.

We're just hanging out and will probably take a walk soon, it looks like it might rain though.

He loves his soft fluffy duck blankie, and I always catch him cuddling with it.
