Cal's First Day of School

Cal had his first day of school (two year old class). He seemed to have a good day and made a hand print with a poem (that made me cry). He talked about playing on the playground and playing with toys, and the teacher e-mailed me and said he was an angel!

School August 2007

Cal is starting school tomorrow,I am sure it is going to be a lot harder for me! There are two of his friends, Mandy and Miles, from his playgroup that will be in his 2 year old class. We went for an orientation on Friday so Cal could see his class and meet his teachers. He sat right down and played with the animals and ponies. Then we went to buy him a backpack and lunch box to take to school He had fun trying on different backpacks - even though they are all his same size!

The Playroom

We went with our playgroup to a place called the Playroom. There were a bunch of toys and Cal loved the gym area where he jumped on trampolines, played with all different size balls and jumped in the foam pit.

Brandon Mississippi

Or as Cal calls it "Missippi" We went to Brandon Mississippi with Craig so he could do some research and interview past coaches of a Falcons football player. Besides a very small town and a large amount of heat, we had a great time. We stayed in a brand new hotel (first ones to sleep in the suite!) and spent a lot of time at Applebees. Cal loves traveling and having new experiences - so of course he had fun.

Officer Custance

Cal received a Acworth Police Badge and sticker at our neighborhood watch meeting. He is proud to show it off while coloring! He also is showing off his new train set and easel from Etta and Papa. And of course a banana to refuel after a busy morning of learning!

Michigan/Chicago

Here are pics from our Michigan trip - Craig and I rented a convertible and took a weekend trip to Chicago, while gram and papa watched Cal. We got to see everyone and Cal had fun playing with his cousins.

Atlanta Zoo/HardRock Cafe/Hotel

We took Cal to the Atlanta Zoo for his 2nd Birthday. We went downtown the night before and ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe (he loved all the guitars everywhere and the music). We then stayed at a nice Marriott- where Cal had a living room to sleep in. We had a great time and he loved seeing all the animals and brushing farm animals in the petting zoo. (Sorry about some of the green pics - our camera was acting weird)
