We are getting ready for our trip home to Michigan, so we'll update the blog after our trip with all of the news. Cal and I have been doing laundry all day and packing so we haven't taken any pictures today, sorry.

Here is Cal just hanging out yesterday, he looks a little dazed. After the last couple of sleepless nights, Cal slept 6 hours last night in a row. Maybe we are back on our routine! Hope so.

This morning I noticed Cal grew some more last night. As you can see he is almost head to toe on his changing table. I absolutely cannot believe he is growing this fast, everyone says they grow fast, but it is unreal. We just love him more everyday!

One Tired Baby

Poor Cal has had trouble sleeping the last couple nights and he does not want to take a nap during the day. After we went to Costco and Babies R Us he went down for a little nap. Here is a pic of an over tired baby...how sad.

Exercises

After his bath we do excercises with Cal (Gram showed us this move) we rub his legs and arms and get him all relaxed so he will straighten out. Here he is all relaxed right before bedtime. And here is Hannah waiting for Criag to come upstairs.

My boy would never do that...

Cal has a habit of sticking his middle finger up when he is sucking on his hand (he has done this since he was one week old). I think his Uncle Mitch may have taught him this move. I hate to show my poor sweetie like this, but it is kind of funny.

Sleepy

After our pool party and going out to dinner, Cal was so tired he fell asleep in his bath. Poor thing.

Pool Party!

Uncle Scott, Craig, Cal, and I went to the pool yesterday it was a lot of fun. Cal enjoyed being outside and looking at all the new surroundings. Here are a bunch of pics from it. (Thank you Hill for the cute octopus outfit, it looked so cute on him.)

Daddy's Boy

Cal fell asleep on Craig and every time Craig talked to him he would smile. I love seeing my two boys together!

A Boy and His Other Dog

Hannah finally stayed by Cal long enough for me to snap a photo...so here is Cal and Hannah, of course you can see Cobi in the background because she is always laying by him. My three kids are so cute! Cal woke up from his morning nap very happy, here he is stretching so big!

A Boy and His Dog

Cobi loves to be around Cal, she always lays by him to make sure he is alright. Hannah is in her own little world and likes to keep it that way. She will sniff him once in awhile, but never long enough for me to get a picture. I knew Cobi would be his best friend!

Nightsleeper

I guess we need to change the name of our blog now. Cal sleeps so much at night...last night he slept 6 hours woke up to eat and then slept 3 more hours. He takes some short naps during the day, and sometimes takes a long afternoon nap around 3-4 hours.

He is always cooing and smiling around 7am it is the cutest thing. Here he is just chillin out and then he fell asleep for a little morning nap.

Ok, we have a lot of pictures today.

Here is Cal listening to Betty Butterfly talk about how she became a butterfly. He loves his butterfly and giraffe especially at night before his bath. He has started to coo at Craig and I and his toys.

He was in such a talking mood before his bath, Cal and I had a conversation about his day.

Yesterday Craig got a flat tire on the expressway coming back from Macon, so by the time he arrived home was pooped! Him and Cal decided to take a little rest.

Smiles

I usually can never get a good full smiling picture of Cal...until tonight. I am a little bias, but come on is this not the cutest kid in the world?

Cal is taking his morning nap, he really is a good sleeper these days. What a sweetheart!

Duckie

Here is our little duckie after his bath last night. He was so relaxed in the warm water, he almost fell asleep.

He slept from 1am to 7am!!! 6 hours again, we are so happy he is already sleeping through the night. Craig had to go to Macon, GA today so it is a good thing Cal slept well. Cal and I are going to clean and make our Doggie D. Baskets. Other than that we are just going to take it easy.

Cal and I had a big day...we ventured out by ourselves for the first time. He was very good while we were at Costco and PetSmart. Everyone thought he was very cute and well behaved. We also went to Staples tonight and he enjoyed looking at all of the big lights. Here he is in his big boy outfit, he had to get dressed to run errands!

Cal's Weekend

Let me catch everyone up on our weekend. Saturday we decided to lay around all day in our pj's because it was storming. We had our dinner delivered (Stromboli's) and lounged around. I hate to admit it, but Cal watched the Austin Powers Marathon with me and he loves the T.V.

Sunday we went to church and Cal got to meet some people he hadn't seen before. The Bayerls (our pastor and his family) were back from vacation and Lindsay and Lauren were awaiting Cal in the nursery. I am not sure Ms. Loraine got to hold Cal at all! Our friends from East Africa came to church yesterday and they were very excited to see Cal...it was great to see them too! I have to say "thank you" to Christie for changing his poopy diaper yesterday, Cal appreciated it. Unfortunately I ate beans at church yesterday, they were really good, but I did not think about them affecting Cal. I feel bad because he has been very gassy since last night. I gave him Mylicon (gas relief) and it seems to actually be helping him this morning. He has been talking and smiling all morning.

Craig worked outside yesterday and our yard looks great! Cal and I worked inside and are getting a huge collection together for good will...we already have one huge garbage bag filled. I guess we are summer cleaning.

Today Cal and I need to go to PetSmart and Staples...we are going to try an outing by ourselves, wish us luck!

Cal is just hanging out today and letting mommy enjoy her coffee. He slept really well last night, about 4 hours then 3 hours then about 2 more. We are definitely getting a lot more sleep these days.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the new pictures!

That darn Mexican again...

I guess I will be unable to eat Mexican food while breastfeeding Cal. Everything was in line for him to sleep through the night, however after I ate Mexican for dinner, his plans changed. Up every one to two hours we are both tired today. Cal has decided not to take his afternoon nap after many attempts by me, so we are just going to do some Doggie D's and hopefully have a good night of sleep tonight! Sorry no pics today.

Yesterday was pretty tiring for me because Cal decided to skip his afternoon nap. He was up from 12pm until he went to bed at 11pm!!! (He took a couple short naps around 15 minutes, but was fighting sleep all day...just like his mom.)

However, last night he made up for it by sleeping 6 1/2 hours in a row! We were very excited about this and are curious to see how our day goes today.

Here he is relaxing this morning ( you can see his mohawk really well in this pic), although he was only up a short time and seems to be taking his morning nap now. He is such a sweetheart and loves to be around mommy and daddy. He has really started to develop a personality!

Note his cute bib that daddy got him in Vegas!

Playtime

Cal has started playing with rattles, holding them and shaking them. Here he is last night playing with keys and Emma's old favorite rattle.

Cal has a new favorite toy - his giraffe! He likes to stare and talk to it. He is sending his grandmas a little message...he loves you! He has also shown interest in his cloth Dog Book and his toy butterfly. Cal is starting to coo and smile a lot, especially in the morning.

Here is Cobi giving Cal his morning kiss...or is she just fixing his mohawk??? We are very lucky the dogs love him and have made it an easy transition. Hannah still is not sure of him, but once in awhile will come and smell him. I think she is just scared of his bouncy seat.

Four Generations

I forgot to put this pic up...it is four generations. Great Grandma Custance, Grandpa C., Daddy, and Cal.

Mr. Coolbreeze

Last night Uncle Scott was over watching the Home Run Derby...he decided to put Cal's sunglasses on him...we finally figured out who he looks like - Bono from U2!

Cal slept great last night, another 4 1/2 hours then about 3 more. We all felt great this morning and had some of our energy back. Here is Cal just relaxing in his bouncy seat looking outside.

Grandparents

When I was looking through our pictures this morning I realized there were no grandparents on the blog!!! Well I went to add some and these are the only two I have. Cal was just hanging out with Grandpa Pangborn when they came to Georgia to visit. He loved falling asleep on him, eventhough his body temp. went up about 30 degrees!!!

In Michigan Emma came to visit and she "had to have him". She wanted to hold him every second and loved being around her new cousin. This is the only pic I have of Grandma P. so we'll have to get more when we come home.

If grandma and grandpa Custance have any pics with Cal will you please send them to me so I can get them up...or else we will have to get a bunch when we come home. I can't believe we don't have pics with the grandparents - they are the most important!

Cal does stretches every night with daddy after his bath. This is his favorite move (eventhough he started crying last night - he was too hungry) where you grab the end of his pj's and move him up and down.

We had another good night of 4 - 4 1/2 hours in a row. Cal was extremely happy this morning and was talking and smiling right after his breakfast. We have started to get on a schedule and it seems to be helping Cal sleep at night (thanks to Gram!)

Hurricane Cindy has branched out to Acworth so we are staying inside today. It has been raining since yesterday and is very windy. I am going to clean the house and put in a few hours at Doggie D's. Cal just fell asleep for his morning nap so I better get busy while I can!

Cal Has Grown!

Last night Cal decided he wanted to sleep 4 1/2 hours in a row!!!! We were very excited, we needed to catch up from the night before. After he ate he went back to sleep for about 3 hours, who knows what tonight has in store for us...we are living each day hour by hour.

I want to thank Aunt Kate for the nice mobile, Cal loves to lay down and try to grab the fish and sea creatures as they move around. That is about the only time he likes to be on his back, he prefers his stomach or side.

Cal loves taking a bath and usually stays in for about 10 minutes. I always have to take him out because if it were up to him he would stay in all night. He also enjoys laying on his tummy and lifting his head, we are amazed at how long he is able to hold it up and look around.

It is kind of a rainy day here, so we are watching the Tigers and just hanging out. The futures game is on shortly at Comerica Park so we will also be watching that. Cal is just like his parents and likes to lounge around watching baseball.

First Time at Church

Today was Cal's first time attending church. He was very well behaved and he stayed with Ms. Loraine in the nursery for an hour while Craig and I were at the service. When we went to pick him up he was sleeping on her in the rocking chair. Here is a pic of him after we got home, he has a little sneeky smile!

Cal and Ry-Dogs

Here are some pics from Aunt Kate's and Uncle Andy's trip to Georgia a couple weeks ago -- Ryan went for his first-ever swim and got to meet his cousin Cal for the first time.
