Camping

We took Cal for his first camping trip to Cloudland Canyon. Craig and I had camped there a few years ago and loved the scenery.

We weren't sure what to expect, camping with an 11 month old. Well, we had our ups and downs during the night, but the daytime was great. We relaxed, went hiking, and cooked our meals over the fire. It was a great change from our everyday life, the views were unbelievable and we were able to just and relax on top of the mountain.

Cal loved being surrounded by trees and loved staring at the fire. He really had some new learning experiences and was so happy being outside all day.

The girls loved it too, of course. Cobi and Hannah were able to eat our leftovers (which we never do at home), so that was a treat, and they were able to explore in the woods.

Overall it was a great trip, but a bit much at night with such a little guy. We will probably rent cottages in the woods until he is a bit older...but knowing Craig and I, we will probably try it again in a few months!!!

Pots and Pans...

Cal loves pots and pans, utensils...basically anything that is not a baby toy! Here he is drumming away on a strainer.

Newspaper

Already taking after his dad, Cal enjoyed reading the paper Friday morning. (Of course he started with his dad's article in the sports section!)

Closet

Cal was laying in the foyer and discovered the closet. He is totally into doors and cupboards now! I better get those latches on before he discovers they are filled with all new things to play with!

One more addition...

Ok, Craig is requesting I take the most recent pics of Cal off the blog b/c he looks like a girl (he is not the only one that noticed it). It is just the hat he is wearing...well at least we know what our daughter would look like!

Anyways, here is one more pic from Mich I forgot about. Hill, Alexis and I went out on the town one night and left Gram and Papa to babysitt Cal...we had a great time!

New Pics

Here are some pics since we have been home from our trip. When we arrived home I had 22 orders to fulfill in two days, so poor Cal had to give himself a bottle (the pic with his highchair tilted back).

He also was happy to see Cobi and Hannah again, although only Cobi was happy to see him...Hannah still likes her space.

We eat dinner outside everynight now since it is beautiful and Craig bought me a new outdoor set for our patio.

For Easter we had great grandma Custance over, Scott, and our friends Chad and Jen. We had a nice time and good food.

Call still loves his balloons and toys.

Mandy - we kept the 6-12 month size of the hat (he doesn't have a very big head) and it fits fine as you can see in the pic. Thanks again for his easter gift!

Michigan Trip...

Here are the rest of the pictures, hope you enjoy! Cal stood up for the first time on the plane and had his own seat in first class on they way home. I am convinced he is going to be a pilot, he just loved flying. He also got his first pair of wings!!!
