Teething...

I can't believe the day is already here...Cal has started teething. Here he is sucking on Craig's thumb. He seems to like it a lot better than his teething toys. I guess I am going to have to get some baby orajel and keep his teething toys in the fridge.
It is so sad to see him in pain and crying, especially since he had never cried like this before.
If anyone has any helpful teething hints I would love to hear them.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I gave him a washcloth to chew on and he liked that, but I didn't put it in the fridge. That is a good idea, I'll have to try that.
I am not sure if he will get teeth soon, but I guess the process of them coming in is starting. He keeps chomping his gums together like he is chewing something, it must feel good to him. I will try the orajel if it gets worse. He is so sweet I hate to see him cry.

Hi Cassie! Anything cold should be a sure relief. Luke loved sucking on frozen bananas and cold carrots (but make sure you stop giving Cal these types of food once you see teeth) Cold yogurt works well too. Teething is a longggg painful process for both mom and baby. Luke is now 15 months, and has his seventh tooth coming in. He is drooling like crazy, and this makes him cough. He'll cough all night long - luckily it doesn't disturb HIS sleep - me? I wake up every little sound he makes :) Love and miss you much! Good luck!!
